this is all about face.
Competing professionals aren't gracious and
competing ads are just a matter of face.
Ads are the face of a product,
its benefit is inside.
Here at the Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards,
the kings of the hill congregate but leave behind
the attitude that there can only be one king of the hill.
They bring the fruits of their labor,
drafts and films and images.
They put away claws sharpened by the daily struggle to reach the top,
put aside their stubbornness and hot tempers, and play fair,
and let the judges decide who is most deserving.
Even though it's all about face,
there's still a bit of the sportsman to be found.
